May Day (All Day)
May Day was also celebrated by some early European settlers of the American continent. In some parts of the United States, May Baskets are made. These are small baskets usually filled with flowers or treats and left at someone's doorstep. The giver rings the bell and runs away. The person receiving the basket tries to catch the fleeing giver. If they catch the person, a kiss is exchanged.  Enjoy today& the spring flowers! 

Fun Fact About Reindeers! (All Day)
Are you wondering why we are writing a fun fact about reindeers?  Well, Ohio has a lot of deer and they roam freely on the farm eating the field corn that we plant.  Of course, they aren't "officially reindeers" but we loved this fun fact about reindeers so we wanted to share:  Both male & female reindeer grow antlers.  Since most males shed theirs in late fall, and females shed in spring, Santa's reindeer may be female!

Devine Farms At Ice Cream Festival! (1:00 pm - 5:00 pm)
We are going to the Ice Cream Festival in Utica, Ohio on SR 13.........come visit us.  We are taking our Pumpkin Bug and giving away freebies!   Our beekeepers, Roger & Marlene Miller will be bringing a live bee hive......it's safe, you will see the bees behind glass.  And, they will be selling their delicious honey!   Mark your calendar and visit us and enjoy some Honey Caramel Ice Cream by Velvet.  We will be on the grounds of Velvet Ice Cream, SR 13.  We will be near the ice cream observing room.  Look for our VW Pumpkin Bug from 1-4 pm. 

Memorial Day Holiday (All Day)
Memorial Day is a federal holiday to honor our fallen veterans.  It began to honor Civil War Veterans, later WWI & WWII, then Korea, Vietnam and now all of our brave men and women who have served and died in many wars abroad. It was originally celebrated on May 30th.  Now it is celebrated on the last Monday in May which is why the date changes from year to year.  Please take a moment to remember our war dead and pray for their families who also share in their ultimate sacrifice for us.

National Road Yard Sales Start Friday (8:00 am - 8:00 am)

Licking County has 32 miles on the National Road - US 40.  To celebrate the National Road, Licking County holds 32 miles of yard sales!   Some start May 30 and run to June 3 BUT MOST OF THE YARD SALES are Friday, June 1 and Saturday, June 2 - we call is Super Weekend!  Start in at county line at Reynoldsburg and travel to Gratiot on Super Weekend!
